Early Pregnancy Reassurance scan in Gosforth provides the early assurance of a confirmed pregnancy and guidance and support in obtaining ongoing care through the NHS pathway. Gosforth Pro Baby Early Pregnancy Reassurance Scan (EPR) is a 5-10 minute 2D scan.

  • Guidance, Support and Referral to NHS Early assessment unit if required for Ongoing Care in the NHS. If you require ongoing care following your scan with us, we will contact the local NHS hospital for you and make all arrangements, to ensure you receive optimum care going forwards.

  • No GP Referral required
  • Full bladder is required for the scan. Please drink approximately 1 litre of water 25-30 minutes prior to your appointment.

Please note we use a transabdominal probe for this scan package. Internal scan is available if required for additional charge.

Important Notes:
It is advised that you should see your GP or healthcare professional after the confirmation of your pregnancy. All our Ultrasound scans are performed by experienced, highly qualified and registered Sonographers or Radiologists who also work within local NHS hospitals and are dedicated to caring for you and your baby.Please note we will not be deliberately looking for any anomalies or checking for Down’s syndrome or other abnormalities. However, in the unlikely event of finding a problem, we will explain our observation to you and you will be given a written report and advised to see your midwife, GP or other healthcare specialist. We will also give you guidance and support in obtaining ongoing care through the NHS.
